Error messages

I am getting this error message for every character I load.

Pick 'fcPwrPoint' has been orphaned due to missing thing in batch '67'
Chained pick 'fSimple' has been orphaned due to missing bootstrap in batch '322'
Pick 'xPwrRes' has been orphaned due to missing thing in batch '440'

Will this cause any problems?

Is this for a character created with Psionics Unleashed? Is this because you got a previous error loading PU and HL went into safe mode?

If so 1.6 is released and should fix you up.

This was for every character including those that did not use psionics unleashed. I went ahead and reinstalled the HL updates and the problem seems to have gone away.

I wasnt having any problems with the psionics unleashed until 1.6, now when loading Hero Lab, it comes up with the error:

The data files could not be loaded due to errors. Hero Lab will no attempt to load them in recovery mode. Once loaded, you can access the editor as normal to correct any errors.

The following error occured:

Source 'pPsiUn' may not be user-selectable am may also possess children.

All the d20pfsrd files have also become become unaccessable in hero lab, not just psionics unleashed.

Ummm that is a very strange. Can you try downloading 1.6 again and installing it. I am wondering if somehow the .1st file didn't get correctly over written in the update.

Also as an FYI if you right click on the error message you can "Copy" to past directly here. Let me know what you get. And we will go from their....

It seems that the 1.5 did something to the HL files. Not sure what but after running the HL update and reinstalling HL and then using the 1.6 psionic update everything is fine. There does seem to be a problem with the Seer (Clairsentience). When I load a previous psionic character that is a Seer I get the following message before the character loads.

bonus before round 0
- - -
bonus after round 0

When I look at the character under the Psion tab there are errors listed for too many bonus feats (1 over), too many disciplines (1 over), Excess level 1 power. Also under spells it is also in red and says Lvl 1 : none! . The spell tab is also missing. If I delete a power I get the following message

bonus before round 1.5
- - -
bonus after round 1

and that causes the other errors to disappear and the spell tab to now appear. The problem is that it now says I need to add 1 more power. The power prescience, offensive still does not appear under spells. I hope this helps you in some way.

That is actually game stuff and I am not familiar with that part actually. I do stuff deeper down in the files.

And went i try to load the portfolio i got this:

I have tried reinstalling it 4 times now, and keep getting the same message when loading Pathfinder game in Hero Lab:

The data files could not be loaded due to errors. Hero Lab will now attempt to load them in recovery mode. Once loaded, you can access the editor as normal to correct any errors.

And the message I get now, because it looks like it has messed with all the d20pfsrd files or made them in accessable or something, I get the following when I load any character from d20pfsrd:

I didn't have any problems with them until I intalled psionics unleashed 1.6

The message just does not make sense. I just tried adding PU to the Community Bestiary data set and it works fine. Every test I can do on this side shows its working correctly.

Yes as the message above states HL has gone into Safe Mode so NO .user files get loaded. This is meant to allow you to fix the issue. So trying to load a .por file that requires the .user file is not going to work.


What it really looks like is something you have has added "Children" under the source "pPsiUn" which use to be a Parent and this was allowed. This was changed in this version so that the "Dreamscarred Press" is the top most parent.

Have you created your own stuff for Psionics specifically new sources? I am guessing here as the issue is something special you have loaded that is causing this and I am unable to duplicate the issue on this end.

If you can zip up every .user file and .1st file in your HeroLab\data\Pathfinder folder and email it to me at "shadowchemosh(at)yahoo(dot)com". I can get to the bottom of this then. Otherwise I am just shooting in the dark here. But this issue is specific to your setup and custom content I am sorry to say.
