Why isn't the cold-weather outfit available for free? (P. 161 of the PF Core says "... one outfit, valued at 10 gp or less.")
Also, my group has had arguments about whether or not the free outfit is also weightless. That was the case in D&D 3.x, but I have not found an official ruling about this in PF. Does anyone have a page number or wiki link? Thanks! |

I think the only thing ever said about the clothing being free is located HERE.

I assume the cold weather outfit is not free because I also assume it's a type of clothing you have over your normal clothing, and as such would feel awkward walking around in just a fur coat....
I can definitely assure you that clothing is not weightless, though. Especially in the rain. (I don't think it makes sense in game to have clothes' weight not count, but I also think placement and arrangement of gear is more important than its weight...within reasonable limits) (haven't slept more than 2 hours in the past 36...bear with me) |
