Hello,
I took the seminar at Gen Con and they touched on how to make new checkboxes in the hero setings section to control the use of new content. I can't remember or find how to do that. Can anyone help? |

In the bottom right corner of any Thing in the editor is a blue button for Sources click on that. In the new window called Select Sources you want to put a check mark on -New Source- and press OK.
In the new window fill out the following things: Source name: This is the name that you will actually see in the Configure Hero window. Source Unique ID: A unique ID value for the source you are creating. Parent Source: By default now it's UserParent and that should work pretty well for you. Hope that helps. I've been using it a lot already. It works great. We run two different pathfinder campaigns (one lower magic level than the other) in our group, so it has made it a lot easier for people to switch back and forth between the rule sets.
Here's one other point that might help. When you add a new group, it won't be available to choose by the next new thing until you have either reloaded Hero Lab or used the "Test Now" button to rebuild the database (consistent with all new content, but it might be confusing with sources.) |

Oh I see it's in the list of the thing not the buttons on the right side. Thanks for the help ShadowChemosh.
Micco I have the same situation as you. When they showed this at Gen Con I just thought "Sold". Thanks again. |
