When an animal companion reaches 4th or 7th level Hero Lab automatically increases the size. Is there a way to choose the "no size increase" option, or should I do that manually?
As you gain levels, your animal companion improves as well, usually at 4th or 7th level, in addition to the standard bonuses noted on Table: Animal Companion Base Statistics. Instead of taking the listed benefit at 4th or 7th level, you can instead choose to increase the companion's Dexterity and Constitution by 2. |

What you could do for now is put in a pair of "Adjustments" on the Adjust tab. Put in a "Size Category" to change the size back down one. Then put in an "Ability Score (Starting)" adjustment to increase Dex/Con.

Here's what I did for my druid's badger companion.
On the animal companion, go to the Adjust tab, then add 3 new Other Adjustments (the 3rd category): one for Size Category, value -1; two for Ability Score (Permanent), value 2, and set one for Str and the other for Con. If there's a way to do it in one step, I haven't found it. |
