I'm creating a gnome druid and it's my first time creating a character. However, I'm getting +2 to melee and +3 on ranged to hit and I'm not sure why! Why is Hero Lab calculating this in to my scimitar, scythe, and sling?
Also, does the Player Companion Races #1 package include anything to do with the Wonderseekers? Thank you! |

Can you attach the .por file so we can take a look?

If you can't attach the portfolio file, can you tell us more about the character? Ability scores, feats, traits, anything else that might be pertinent.

The printed statblock would be the easiest to have HL produce and would give all the info.
My guess without any information is that the Gnome is small and is giving you a +1 to hit. But otherwise way more info about your character is needed to track down why something is happening. Oh, and welcome to HL, it's amazing, and with age, just keeps getting better.

Thank you for the replies, everybody! I really like Hero Lab and want to be able to use it for my character creation. Here's a picture of my stats and the weapons I picked out.

A 2nd level Druid has a +1 BAB. Your Dexterity bonus adds +1 to your range attack. Your size (small because you are a gnome) adds an additional +1 to all attacks. Therefore, +2 to melee and +3 to range is correct.

Thank you so much!! It was really confusing me and my gamemates.
Do you know where in any of the books it might explain this bonus? I wonder why I would hit harder if I'm smaller!? |

Also, why +3 to Range -- shouldn't it just be +2 with the Dex and gnome/small bonus?
