I purchased Advanced Race Guide, but it seems to be missing ratmen. I asked a friend who also had it and he has ratmen on his roster, but mine doesn't for some reason. Any ideas on how to fix this?

They are called Ratfolk actually. So see if you see that race. If not make sure you have the Advanced Race Guide check marked. Press Ctrl-K to see the configure the hero window.
The last thing to check is to make sure you don't have No Featured Races checked under Race Options. That would cause Ratfolk to not display.
