Well, I don't think so. The last time I installed HL on this computer was last spring, when I switched to a new machine, and it's been working fine for months.

When the error first appeared, I figured there must have been a hiccup with the 13.1 update, so I used Find Updates to download and re-import the game system. But that had no effect -- HL behaved identically before and after.

I also have a copy of HL installed on my laptop, and it updated just fine. No errors, no weird vanishing third-party URLs. I am at a loss to explain how it happened on my desktop machine.

XxL3, on your updates page (which you can get to from the Updates link at the bottom of the page where you're choosing a character, what is listed among your installed updates?

If there are any updates there that you know you don't want, move your finger from right-to-left across that update, and a delete button will be revealed.

If you're not sure, give us the list so we can tell you what to delete, or how to update the rest.

I'm having this same issue on iPad 2, ever since I downloaded PF update 13.1. Ever since then, whenever I try to create a portfolio or open an existing portfolio, I get the errors shown in the attachment Errors.jpg.

After the error screen, I'm dropped back onto the list of portfolios screen.

My currently loaded updates and version are shown in Loaded Modules.jpg.

I've reactivated my license like 5 times, with no fix. I've checked for available Hero Lab updates in the iTunes Store; I have the latest version.

Help!

Thanks in advance!

All these errors seem to involve "MP". Am I misremembering or did the Modern Path files get folded into the big Community Pack? If so deleting the old Modern Path module will probably fix the problem.

Currently Running: Pathfinder Second Edition
Currently Playing:
Pathfinder First Edition, Star Trek Adventures
Former HL Games: D&D 4e & 5e, Mutants & Masterminds 2E & 3E, Savage Worlds

Correct. Remove the deprecated Modern and install the latest community pack v1.3. This is the same fix for anyone getting this error regardless if it's on the iPad, Mac, or Windows.

Removing the Modern Path update did the trick for my iPad. I still get 4 errors about 4 picks (pMPFamKick x2, pMPClDmMdf x2) being orphaned from batches 316 and 351, but the portfolios still open, so no big deal.

Thanks all the great advice!
