So, I'm looking at adding this armor enhancement that is similar to Armor Spikes, but slashing damage instead of Piercing. From this thread I understand why I can't seem to find Armor spikes anywhere in the editor. Any idea how I could mimic this?

I don't think that is the case anymore as I have added many non-magical items to the game.
You should be able to copy the existing Armor Spikes and make the changes needed. I am pretty sure its made up of three pieces actually. The "Item Power", the "Weapon", and then the "Weapon, Magic". All three work together to make Armor Spikes. I would start with the "Item Powers" tab and look for Armor Spikes and do a New Copy. Yeah, I'm not seeing them in any of the tabs. Although I do see Shield Spikes. Let me play around with that...

Although, the Shield Spikes are only under "Item Power".

Armor and shield spikes are... a weird edge case which has special handling, since they are part of another custom item, but can themselves be customized separately. I don't think it's possible for users to make a similar item. What you could do is just rename a set of custom armor spikes to be called "Armor Razors". If it is very important to change their damage type, you could make an adjustment which targets their weapon and replaces the wType tag there.

I swear I have done this somehow as I have things like Armor Spikes working in my house rules data set. I would have to look to see how I did it. Maybe I copied something from the Shields or Shield Bash. I also have similar stuff I did for the Eberron Warforged armor actually.
Blah I can't remember exactly now.... I know no pressure. Good thing I like pressure!!!
Boo yah!!!!! I uploaded the .user file "PRPG_ArmorRazors.user" to the repository so anyone can download. It allows one to add Armor Razors now to your custom armor. Mine works just a "little" different but works just fine. Armor Spikes asks you to setup the Spike Magical properties as soon as you add the spikes. For mine you have to go the "Weapons" tab and then edit the Razors but the final result is exactly same here as the images below show. Note the armors show errors as I have to equip both of them to have both razors/spikes show on the weapons tab. In the good way my razors totally do NOT display and clutter up the Weapons tab for armor you don't wear. The "official" spikes can't say that! Noname1.jpg Noname2.jpg As mentioned the Razors have three pieces. A "Weapon" a "Weapon, Magical" and a "Item Power" Thing. The three work together with special tags developed for "Shields" to make them work.
