So with the new round of "errata" being released, for ultimate equipment this time, I've decided that I'm done following their nonsense. So I've got a few questions:
1) Would it be possible to have a setting to enable/disable the errata? Like the current option to "Use the old version of the Living Monolith". What would be best is having the option to show both versions, noting that one version is pre-errata. 2) If this isn't possible, which I doubt it is, and I instead put in the pre-errata versions into the editor and create a custom file, would I then be allowed to distribute that file? |

Yes you can also distribute the file without issues. First the text is OGL meaning you can do that. As you would have to re-write the scripts and logic to support the old design you also own that logic then. I had thought about having this option in the Pathfinder Pack actually of scripting the rules from the original or v1.0 of the books. I guess except for two items in the UE Errata I have been 100% happy with Paizo's changes. So it was not really giving me allot of desire to do that. Jingasa I am thinking of putting it back to what it was but raising the price to 15 or 25,000gp. I don't mind higher level PCs getting access to this item. The featherstep slippers are now one encounter a day and require a standard action to activate. I just can't see that being used. Maybe once a day with a swift or even free action to activate. Hmmmm not sure... The Quickrunner's shirt was another one that took a hit as your round ends after using the item. It was nice "once" a day a person could maybe get a pounce like attack. I didn't see that as really bad. Not as worried about this one as my group switched to the Unchained Action Economy so moving and getting multiple attacks is normal now for us. Yeah I wasn't really expecting LW to do it, I was more concerned if it was okay to distribute. Thanks for your help!

My players love to have Gloves of Reconnaissance for scouting, and usually have 3 or 4 pairs on the scout.
Being able to see through 15 feet of wall or door, helps the scout out. And having ten uses per set of Gloves lets them move somewhat fast, as long as those at the door are reasonably quiet. Requiring the gloves to be worn for 24 hours, prevents having multiple Gloves; that in itself is reasonable. Getting one minute of use from the Gloves, instead of ten 1-round uses is also reasonable. Having both nerfs applied at once, is going to take an otherwise useful and fun item, and make it so no one at my table ever uses it again. |
