I am preparing HL 5e for when I run Curse of Strahd. I've added the background, btu am at a loss of how to add the Gothic Trinkets.
I created an item under the gear tab, and set the Gear Type to Trinket, but it doesn't show up under trinkets on the gear tab. I've tried the other gear types, but so far nada. Anyone successfully added trinkets? Or is this a HL bug? Watch your back, Conserve your ammo, and NEVER cut a deal with a dragon! |

Did you do a Restart of HL or press the "Test Now!" after making the item?
Other idea is did you add a "Source" to that new Thing and didn't activate the source in the "Configure Your Hero" window? I know I went to Configure You Hero and added the new source.
I am pretty sure I restarted HL after I added the test trinket and tried Ctrl-r. But I go restest it now just in case. Watch your back, Conserve your ammo, and NEVER cut a deal with a dragon! |

Just created a new test trinket. Set the gear type to trinket.
Configure Your Hero is correctly set. Not showing up. Tried ctrl-r for the hell of it, nada . . I'll have to try a few other gear types just in case. Watch your back, Conserve your ammo, and NEVER cut a deal with a dragon! |

If that don't work change the "Gear Type" to like "Adventuring Gear". The Trinket tag could be setup with a invalid sort order or something causing it to not appear. We know Adventuring Gear works...

Tried "Adventuring Gear" and nothing shows up under Add new trinket except custom. I did a restart of HL and checked Configure your hero.

Right but does it now display under "add new gear"? I am trying to see if its that tag causing the problem or something else.

Finally near HL. Looking at the tags for the 'Custom Trinket' and a "Gear Item" they are two different component sets. Its not the "tag" that causes a trinket to be in "Trinkets" section.
This means Trinkets are made on there own 'Tab' in the editor but I see no tab in the editor. So if you know the compset you could add it in the RAW XML but figuring out that is sometimes guess work. Unless some other special way can be done that Aaron/Mathias know. Its a bug to be reported. kk, I'll put in a bug report. Thanks for verifying it wasn't just me not doing something incorrectly.
