Many things can be done using
Adjustments which has nothing to do with programming at all.
Across the top of HL is different Tabs (ie Skills, Feats) near the right side is one marked
Adjustment (or Adjust, I can't seem to remember which). From their you can add spells that adjust your character (ie
Bull Strength). You can also do
OTHER adjustments to give your self more feats, traits, skills, and many other cool stuff. So you can use the adjustments to simply add a Bonus to hit/Damage to a specific weapon or all weapons on your character.
I created a add-on for HL that gives even more adjustments that my players have found useful. You can read all about it
