If all your personal files are gone. I assume all you have is the community files I would do the below steps to get a clean version of Pathfinder working. The steps are for windows change the directory names to match layout of a Mac which I don't know.

1) Shut down HL.

2) Open windows explore and to go C:\ProgramData\HeroLab\Data\ and rename the folder "Pathfinder" to "PathfinderOld".

3) Go to the C:\ProgramData\HeroLab\Download\ and look for Pathfinder.hl file and double click to start the install. Tell it yes to install.
3a) After it finishes close down HL again.

4) Now while in the Download folder look for Pack_Pathfinder.hl file and double click on it to start the community Install.

5) ON the list of game systems you will have two Pathfinder games one that says "PathfinderOld" under the logo. Start the Pathfinder game with no words under the logo.

6) If everything is working as you want feel free to delete the whole folder "C:\ProgramData\HeroLab\Data\PathfinderOld".
