Will There be a HL APP for Ipad??

Are there any plans for bringing a tablet viewer version to Hero Labs? Something that we will be able to bring to the table as an electronic character sheet without lugging a laptop to the table. iOS or Android, doesn't matter, but is this something you have thought of or something you would consider for the future?

Android would be nice, not everyone is drinking the Apple coolaid! :)

No one is drinking anything. iPad is by far the best selling tablet OS. Android would be a side project.

Lets ALL refrain from derogatory remarks about either iPad or Android tablets.

We all have our opinions and can state them in a manner that uses constructive criticism rather then remarks that illicit a flamed response.

I would rather have HL be written for Android systems I know that iPad does well too and would like it to come out in both versions to be honest. That way we are ALL happy. :)

I agree. I stated facts that were in no way flame bait. To date there is no market for non-iOS tablets in comparison to the iPads. That's just sales data. It would be great if HL was released for everyone, but if they are going to recoup dev costs, it's an iOS release bare minimum, especially since the Mac code is finished.

Research firm NPD today released a new study of non-iPad tablet sales in the United States, revealing that sell-through remains extremely small in the face of Apple's dominant market share. According to the report, only 1.2 million non-iPad tablets were sold in the United States during the first ten months of 2011, with HP leading the pack with 17% of that market, or about 200,000 units sold.

Apple's sales performance is not included in the study, but it is clear that the total of 1.2 million non-iPad tablets fails to come close to Apple's sales numbers. For the first three quarters of 2011, Apple reported total iPad sales of just over 25 million iPads on a worldwide basis, and while the company does not break out its U.S. iPad sales, that number is almost certainly well above 10 million units, putting Apple in the neighborhood of 90% sales share.

Recent studies have pegged Apple's share of iPad shipments at closer to 65-70%, but those studies measure shipments from manufacturers to distribution channels and not sales to end users. While Apple has repeatedly noted that it is selling every iPad it can make, competitors' devices still appear to be languishing on store shelves amid low interest from consumers.

Regardless, if Android has it's own thread there's no reason to even discuss one versus the other.

What I would love to see is the iPad app serving as an extension of the desktop app and not just a port. The iPad app should be more import the portfolios and perhaps stock heros/enemies and then take be used for a tactical console, In-Play tab equivalent. Maybe some reference material for spells and abilities. Also the adjustments for when an effect is applied to your character. I see it as more of a game-day experience than a core character creation and authoring experience.
