What's the Delay?

Forgive me if I sound impatient, I am :D but, I'd like to know what is keeping this product from shipping? I'm not in the early release or Alpha Wolf or any of that, just wondering :D

The NSA isn't making you put backdoors into the software are they? :cool:
 
There are a lot of things the team is in the process of hammering out right now, and a list of known bugs that need fixing. Lone Wolf Development has high quality standards that need to be met pre-release.
 
So then what is the projected release date? I'm a pack member and all the update blogs talk about is the early release issues.
 
Early release was August 13. Add two months as required by the early release agreement. The absolute earliest it can be available to the general public is October 13.
 
On the main Comments page of the Kickstarter, the second to last comment from us says October. This information was copied out of the pre-GenCon Backer Update that was posted on August 13th (in the What's Next section). At this point, the end of October still appears likely, but we have a ways to go yet and surprises could arise.

There is only 10 days left in October. How's that deadline looking, Rob?
 
I can hardly wait for the release. I would actually pay you guys for a early access and just have it patched up as you guys hammer out the bugs (i missed out on the kickstarter unfortunately). I can wait on the cloud part I just want to start building a campaign up for my group and don't want to have to input data twice because i'm switching programs. The faster I can learn the new software the better :).
 
BOO.. it kind of sucks waiting for the release date for the release date.... it says fall and it is fall and nothing. im not asking for the program to be out before it is done. i just want to know if it is going to come out with in the next month or if it is being pushed back. I mean really less then a month left in fall and no real date yet give us some warning to when we are going to lose all of our money.
 
I am finding it hard to remain excited about realmworks. While it is great that you are giving the Kickstarteers the inside track by this point in the development cycle you should be able to say whether or not it will release as has been implied the end of this month or if you feel your a month, three months or even six months out. a little communication would go a long way.

I take it from that response that you're not a Kickstarter backer. We'll have a more detailed update in our October newsletter. If you don't receive our newsletter, sign up here. The latest newsletter indicated Realm Works would be out at the end of October if we had absolutely no bumps. Unfortunately, we've seen some bumps that will push us into November. We'll have more updates though in our newsletter. :)

:( It does make me sad to hear about a delay but I do understand and would prefer a more polished product. But I WAS serious about saying I would pay now to gain early access and help with the last bit of bugs and just have product patched up to final release ;)
