What does "Key" Mean in the Class selection?

Since I updated my Hero Lab, some classes like the Fighter or Magus say "Key" next to them in the Class Selection box.

What does this "Key" mean?

Thanks a lot!
 
See Bestiary 1, pgs 296-297 - whether a creature with class levels adds key classes or non-key classes is important in calculating its CR.
