Weapon Base Damage Multiples

I'm not sure this is the correct thread for this, but I'm kitbashing Pathfinder for a homebrew, and I'd like to make use of Hero Lab for character creation. However, one of the big changes is that weapons (melee, ranged and thrown; i.e., not spell damage) increase in base damage at levels 8, 15, 22 and 29 (the homebrew also adds support for up to class level 35). Specifically, only the weapon's base damage, not the STR modifier or weapon enhancement bonus damage, etc. is increased.

For example, a fighter with an 18 strength wielding a longsword at level 1 would deal 1d8+4 damage. In the homebrew, the longsword would deal 2d8 at 8th level, for total damage of 2d8+4 (since STR damage is unchanged). At 15th, this becomes 3d8, etc.

Level Base Damage
1-7 1d8
8-14 2d8
15-21 3d8
22-28 4d8
29+ 5d8

If someone would be kind enough to tell me how to do this across all weapons, rather than individual weapons, I would be deeply grateful. Even telling me as little as "it's a <bootstrap> in the <class> tab" or whatever (I'm confident that's wrong) would be really helpful. I don't even know where to start.

Thanks,
Nuada

Your going to be looking at using a Mechanic. Mechanics are nice as they are always attached to every hero and will always run their scripts. This way you can do this across all character types.

I would also take a look at my Vital Strike addon that makes the Vital Strike feat actually work. I say this as the scripts are "very similar" in that we take a 1d8 weapon can make it do 2d8 or 3d8 damage. The big difference will be moving the script to a mechanic instead of a feat.

Hmmm I hope that is the latest version of the addon but should still give you a very good base script to work off of.

Perfect. Thanks! I'll take a look at the Vital Strike addon when I get home. I really appreciate the quick response!
