Warpriest Playtest

I am running a Way of the Wicked campaign and one of my players is wanting to try Warpriest. However, it seems that even when worshipping an evil deity Herolab will not let him take Command undead and his channel shows as positive energy. Not sure if I am just messing things up or if there is a work around. Any information would be appreciated.
