A new update of the Pathfinder files for Hero Lab is now available from the automatic updates mechanism within Hero Lab.

This update adds Mythic Realms to the existing Campaign Setting #11 package. This package already contains Demons Revisited, and will get at least one more Campaign Setting book, to be determined as Paizo releases more books in this line. This package is available for $4.99.

Also in this package is Mythic Origins. This is the first book in a new Player Companion #13 package. This package is also available for $4.99, and will get 1-2 other books from the player companion line, as Paizo releases more books.

This update also adds player content from Adventure Path #74, and includes several bug fixes.

Here's the complete change list for this update. The change lists for all updates of the Pathfinder files are available from "Pathfinder Roleplaying Game FAQ" option in the Help menu within Hero Lab.

New Releases!

  • Content from Mythic Origins is now available as the first part of Pathfinder Player's Companion #13.
  • Content from Mythic Realms is now available as part of Pathfinder Campaign Setting #11.

Bug Fixes

  • The shard of pride was missing its situational bonus.
  • The skinsaw mask was targeting items that weren't eligible for its damage bonus.
  • Strix were missing their darkvision.
  • The urban ranger archetype wasn't listing camouflage as being replaced.
  • The aquatic subtype was missing the swim class skill.
  • Clerics didn't have access to the cultural adaptation spell.
  • Archetypes which modified the way Eidolons worked were not reporting an error when both were added to a hero (such as Synthesist and Broodmaster).
  • The Aasimar's Halo ability was incorrectly replacing all darkvision, rather than only that which was granted by the race.
  • The Drow Nobility line of feats was not functioning correctly for the various spell like abilities.
  • The Shaitan Binder archetype's Shaitan Magic ability had a linebreak in its description.
  • The Soulbound Doll race's Alignment Variation ability was adding the spell like abilities incosistantly.
  • The Pathfinder's Kit, Grappling bolt and Grappling arrow were missing the Ultimate Equipment source.
  • The Supernal Feast feat was missing bolding in it's description.
  • The Nirmathi Irregular ranger archetype was allowing the selection of spells of a level too high for you to currently cast.
  • Oracle Cure spells which the character was not high enough level to cast were showing up on the spell description printouts.
  • The Deflect Arrows feat was incorrectly stating it could only be used 1/day.
  • The Strix race was missing the Humanoid type.
  • The Half Orc's Beastmaster ART was not functioning for Training Whips and Scorpion Whips.
  • Custom Races were incorrectly reporting an error about being overspent on racial custom abilities.
  • Cleric/Sorcerers were generating Alignment Incompatable to cast this spell errors for spells they had not actually gained from thier bloodline yet. I.E. An evil Cleric with the Celestial sorcerer bloodline was reporting an error for having Magic Circle Against Evil even before hitting 7th level of sorcerer.
  • The Oracle's Wood Bond revelation was adding to both attack and damage (rather than just attack).
  • The Vigilant Eidolon feat wasn't granting its full Perception bonus if you had more than 10 ranks in Perception.
  • The Vivisectionist's Cruel Anatomist ability wasn't setting the Heal skill's value properly.
  • The Totem Spirit (Tamiir-Quah) feat was adding a bonus to speed, rather than increasing the base speed.
  • The Talon Attack Aasimar ability was only granting a single attack, rather than 1 per hand.
  • Equipping a Legendary Item would report an error message that too many items of that type were equipped.
  • Legendary armor was applying double its armor check penalty to the character's skills.
  • The Talon Attack Aasimar ability was only granting a single attack, rather than 1 per hand.
  • Wrath of the Righteous Campaign traits were missing their enhanced effects if the character had the associated Mythic Path.
  • An error would be reported if you added Inquisitor levels and then cleric levels.
  • Mythic Weapon Finesse was not functioning for non-light weapons which could be used with the normal version of the feat (such as rapiers).
  • Weapon Finesse was not imposing an equipped shield's ACP as a penalty to attack with finesse weapons.
  • The Lore Warden Fighter archetype was conflicting with itself. Fixing this involved undoing the fix for an error last update. Lore warden will not report an error when conflicting with another archetype that replaces Bravery until the second archetype is added.
  • Pathfinder Society organized play characters that were clerics of Irori were not getting Iproved Unarmed Strike as a bonus feat.
  • On a Summoner (Synthesist), the Flight Speed Enhancement evolution was not recognizing the presence of the base Flight evolution.
  • The Darkleaf cloth material was not showing as legal for several armors (Rosewood, Silken Ceremonial, Lamellar (Leather), and Quilted Cloth) or for any piecemeal armor.
  • The Guiding Star revelation's text was incorrect.
  • In some cases where an archetype or feat allowed a class access to a spell that is normally not on that class' list (for example, Ray of Frost for a Witch (Winter Witch), or the domain spells for a Cleric (Theologian)), those new spells could not be made into metamagic spells.
  • The Lotus Geisha Bard archetype was incorrectly removing shield proficiency.
  • The duergar's spell-like abilities were appearing twice on the spells tab.
  • Knowledge skills had a typo in their description, needing a linebreak in 2 places.
  • If racial equipment is added to a minion (for example, putting something in your horse's saddlebags), it will no longer report an error for being the wrong race.
  • The Training Harness was not applying its situational bonus to handle animal checks.
  • On the printout, blowguns were adding the character's STR bonus to their damage.
  • The Armor of the Pit feat was missing the ARG source.
Data File Authoring

  • Adjustments now have the option to include their mythic versions as part of the normal adjustment. The "Has a Mythic Version?" option in the editor will let you choose whether this option is available for a particular adjustment, and setup what levels of augmentation are available. When writing scripts to use this new option, the pIsMode field is used to check if this is a mythic/augmented spell, or if it's a normal spell. field[pIsMode].value <> 1 for mythic/augmented, field[pIsMode].value = 0 for the normal version. The number of power points used to augment a spell is stored in field[pModeAug].value. For example, Mythic Haste, which allows one augmentation option for 2 mythic power, would have field[pModeAug].value = 2 while it was augmented, and field[pModeAug].value = 0 while it was a normal spell or un-augmented mythic spell.

The HL auto updater is reporting:

The selected file is not a valid import file for Hero Lab. If the file was downloaded, it was likely corrupted, so please try downloading the file again.

Updates from Rite Publishing

This update should fix the problem with 1001 Spells showing up as PFS legal and the 0 level spells being free for spellbooks. Also there were a number of formatting fixes.

This update broke the monk's Flurry of Blows attack....again.

There is a stickied thread in this forum with a link to our bug tracking system. Please post bug reports there, not in the release thread. Also, PLEASE give us details about what's been broken when you report this issue.

Did scroll naming change on purpose or is it broken? If I have a Scroll of Cure Light Wounds with quantity of 10, it just shows "Scroll of Cure Light Wounds", didn't it use to show "Scroll of Cure Light Wounds x10"?

(Reported as bug in case it is such)
