Version 2.20 of the Shadowrun files for Hero Lab is now available

A new update of the Shadowrun files for Hero Lab is now available from the automatic updates mechanism within Hero Lab.

This update adds the Magical Societies E-book and the Nightfire Presents chapter of Runner's Black Book 2074 to the existing pdf#3 package. This package already contains Gun Heaven 2, and is available for $9.99. We expect to add Used Car Lot to this package in November.

  • Content from Magical Societies has been added as a free update to the existing PDF Bundle #3.
  • Content from the Nightfire Presents chapter of Runner's Black Book 2074 has been added as a free update to the existing PDF Bundle #3.
Enhancements & Changes

  • Optimized some code to give a ~3x speedup in evaluation time, possibly more when working with vehicles / spirits / sprites. This should speed things up, especially when working with files with a lot of heroes.
Bug Fixes

  • Characters who were in noncombat mode were being put back into combat incorrectly when the "next pass" button was used on the Tactical Console.
  • If the character with the highest number of initiative passes was in noncombat mode, initiative passes would take place where nobody in combat could act.
  • When printed, complex forms were not always showing their program options, or those program options could end up overwriting the text of the next complex form in the list.
  • Cluster Grenades were being allowed as minigrenades.
  • Several vehicles would not be hidden if their checkbox on the Vehicle tab was unchecked.
  • Several spirits would not be hidden if their checkbox on the Magic tab was unchecked.
  • Firing Selection Change (FA) was not functioning properly on the Ares HVBR.
  • The price of the Well Made lifestyle quality was incorrect.
  • Fake Licenses were displaying incorrect ratings.
  • The Foregrip integral mod on the B&P MP9 was reporting errors.
  • The Vampire racial modification (and several of the Vampire variants) were incorrectly listed as having Vulnerability (Silver).
  • The cost to buy off the Uneducated and Uncouth weaknesses for a Sapient Critter was incorrect in the Karma System.
  • The YNT Softweave armor modification was not functioning properly.
  • Autosofts were not able to add program options.
  • Pistols, Machine Pistols, and SMGs were not being allowed to add the rigid/folding stock accessories.

What error in the title? (Aren't moderator privelages great?)

There were no changes in this update that would affect the data file authoring process.
 
So...do these changes mean it will no longer slow down as much when I am doing characters with vehicles and/or spirits?
