Interesting. I removed the community pack to troubleshoot but got a different error. Here it is for reference.

Edit: Reading it now, that may be MY custom item. Hang on.

Edit 2: Removing my package fixed without the community pack installed, and re-adding the community pack back to original error.

That error is because your character is referencing something from the Pack and its now gone.

The problem here is on my windows Hero Lab I can NOT duplicate this issue. But on my iPad it does happen also including the deactivating of the iPad license issue. I have never seen the iPad HL give a different error than the Windows before. I have sent an email to LW looking for some help.

In the mean time I will have to try some proof of concept testing on my iPad to see if I can track down the issue. Its very time consuming to do that using an iPad instead of windows. :(

Gotcha. The referenced file in my custom pack was no longer needed at all so I simply removed it. In the mean time, players (and myself, lol) will need to print a sheet out. Thanks for the responses/info!

With the help of Mathias I have tracked down the issue and the fix. I am putting out a new version ASAP so hopefully within the hour. Version 1.17 of the community Pack will fix this issue.
 
How do I put a spellbook together for a bard that has arrowsong's lament?
Arrowsong's lament also isn't selectable multiple times
 
The bard is a spontaneous caster, so they either know a spell or they don't.

Once they know a spell, they can cast any spell of it's level, so many times per day.
That scales with level, and increases with Charisma.
 
iPad error V1.17 community pack

I get this error after updating to V14.8 HL and V1.17 community pack.

Unless the bard has arrowsong's lament, which basically lets them give up a spell known to have one spell known slot they can study for (At each level). In which they'll have a spell book or scrolls with the spells written down in them.
 
Please don't report bugs in the release announcements, especially a thread like this one that's not the most current release. Please report them to us using the links in the stickied "Hero Lab Support & Community Resources" thread.

If you need to clarify an issue before reporting it, please create a new thread for that.
