Vermin Familiars Question

How does the mindless condition get set in Herolab. Trying to create a Bard with a butterfly familiar and int stat is stuck at "-"

I am not sure why Centipedes and scorpions have Int and Butterflies and cockroaches don't?

In Pathfinder 1 (only in Classic, not Online), Animals have an Int of 1 or 2, and Vermin are mindless. All four of the creatures you mention are Vermin in PF1. (5th Ed classes them as Beasts, don't know about PF2)
Can you tell us what version of HL you are running and what system you are asking about. This helps the post get placed in the correct forum, and you are much more likely to get an answer to your question.

Sorry little lost myself, I dont see a version and from the laod page I can choose pathfinder or pathfinder beginner box. I choose pathfinder. I created a bard and then selected duettist from archetypes. Once I select the butterfly as a familiar it show an Intelligence score of "-" and yet if I choose centipede in show a base intelligence of 8?

Is there somewhere I should be looking for version?

You are running "Classic" HeroLab (not Online) and the original Pathfinder. (1st Edn.)
Familiars have an Intelligence score granted according to the master's level. I'd guess your Butterfly is still being treated as Vermin. I can't see an archetype for a Bard that grants a familiar and I can't see Butterfly as a familiar for a Wizard. You must have a package/book loaded that I don't have - I'm guessing Ultimate Wilderness.
You can submit a bug report, or just send an email to support.

I'd say he has the "Pathfinder Player Companion: Familiar Folio" - this is the source of the "Duettist" Bard archetype, and 'Ultimate Wilderness' for the Butterfly.
