Vehicles, special traits and special behaviors

Do these actually display anywhere on the output? I was just inputting some for Broken Earth, and was going to use special behavior for the fuel efficiency, but it doesn't seem to show up, well, anywhere; as is, I'm not sure even what its purpose in the program is.

They do not seem to. In fact there are several bugs regarding vehicles. For one, I just tried to use the Galley from the Black Powder equipment and its LoadOut Gizmo throws errors. Several of the Modern equipment vehicles do not show up on the vehicle Gear list.

I notice there's no real function to the vehicle type either, it doesn't seem to sort by them. I kind of wish it did; that's how BE does it, but as it is, all the weapons are just going to be jumbled together.

Last time I checked vehicles were sorting right, but that was a while ago. Here is the order when I worked it out and posted it in the Common Codes thread (2nd post)

Civilian: Ground Vehicles
WWII Military: Ground Vehicles
Modern Military: Ground Vehicles
Futuristic Military: Ground Vehicles
Civilian: Aircraft
WWII Military: Aircraft
Modern Military: Aircraft
Futuristic Military: Aircraft
Civilian: Boats & Ships
WWII Military: Boats & Ships
Modern Military: Boats & Ships
Futuristic Military: Boats & Ships

Attached is my screenshot of all of the vehicles that I can see. There are no separators. Just those few vehicles if I have the four categories checked. If I uncheck them I have even less. This is also without having any other settings checked.

That looks right. The cars are before the aircraft which are before the boats and they are sorted alphabetically within those groupings. There just aren't any separators. I don't have it on this computer but you could open something like the Tour of Darkness setting which I'm pretty sure I set up separators for (using the renaming of the above groups, just like with other gear, to group them by nationality and such instead of like it is above.)

The problem is, that does not look right. It does not show several of the other vehicles that it should be showing.

I will show you a list from what the editor says is there. There are no other data sets in the folder as I took them out so that I can show what is normal. I attached three jpegs. There are many vehicles that should be on the list but they are not.

Looking at them, I found that they have a containerreq. This is the culprit. There is something called "source.OrigVeh". I had not noticed this before but farther down the Configure Hero menu there is a "Show Vehicles". I had forgotten about it as down that far on the list is house rules and mostly stuff from SWEX. I hear that the 6th Gun will use the Epic Heroism rule. I did not consider Show Vehicles to be an optional rule, I had figured that it would be something in the settings, like No Standard Gear.

In any case this does not fix the broken gizmo for when a vehicle has a weapon. I assume that this is being fixed in the Sci Fi Companion update that is being worked on as many of its contents are vehicles that have weapons.

Yeah, currently I'm just noting the one vehicle from Broken Earth with a weapon in the Description area.

Vehicle output is changing. That LoadOut will be visible, and will also include all the Modifications from the Sci-Fi Companion. Since I used that to attach all of the Mods, I made it visible for the normal Vehicle displays, too. I'll take a look at the vehicle separator issue.
