v6.2b installation error

After installing Hero Lab v6.2b, any time I start Hero Lab I get an error that reads:

Error on line #2 in c:\program files\hero lab\product\.\base_getkey.xml - Fixed attribute 'signature' does not match specified value

After I hit OK on this error Hero Lab crashes. I've tried reinstalling, doing a full uninstall/restart/clean install, and neither has worked.

I'm running Windows 7 SP1 32-bit.
 
I also am getting an error trying to update to 7.0b or whatever the newest version of hero lab is. Using Win7 and it gets "program not responding" after it downloads the files and tries to install.
