Hello everyone - I'm trying to use the editor for the first time and I'm looking to create a character's custom template, a custom story-feat and 3 custom traits.
If you lovely lots could either tell me how to make them, or direct me to a very newbie-friendly guide to how to editor (I'm -really- bad at coding :[ ), that would be much appreciated.
The custom stuff in question is:
Story Feat: this feat, once taken should increase the save DC of all mind-affecting and compulsion spells cast by the character by +3(untyped bonus). The completion bonus is a +2 untyped bonus on saves vs death effects and fear effects, as well as increasing the save DC and damage of channel energy by +2.
Trait 1: this trait should increase the save DC of all mind-affecting spells cast by the character +2 (trait bonus).
Trait 2: this trait should grant a +1 trait bonus to knowledge arcana and knowledge planes, and allow the player to chose one of these skills to always be a class-skill.
Trait 3: this trait should grant a +1 trait bonus to perception and survival checks when in a forest and allow the player to chose one of these skills to always be a class-skill.
Template: A variant on the half-fiend template.
The template should be acquired or inherited.
The template should modify the character's challenge rating like the half-fiend template normally would. That is: by +1 if the character if the character has 4HD or less. by +2 if the character has between 5 and 10 HD. And finally by +3 once the character reaches 11 HD or above.
Alignment to get the template: any evil
The creature type should change to outsider(native) without recalculating HD, BAB or saves.
The template should grant the following qualities:
Darkvision 60 ft.
Immunity to fire.
Immunity to Poison.
resistance 10 against acid, cold, and electricity.
Regeneration 5/silver and good
DR 5/good (if 11HD or less)
DR 10/good (if 12HD or more)
Spell resistance equal to the character's CR + 11 (to a maximum of 35)
A flight speed equal to twice the character's land speed, unless the character flies better already.
+4 strength
+4 dexterity
+4 constitution
+4 intelligence
+6 wisdom
+6 charisma
If the character has an int or wis of 8 or higher, it should get access to the following spell like abilities at the following HD:
1-2 HD: Darkness 3/day
3-4 HD: Invisibility 3/day, Desecrate 1/day
5-6 HD: Scorching Ray 3/day
7-8 HD: Create Undead 1/day
9-10 HD: Greater Teleport 3/day
11-12 HD: Blasphemy 1/day, Greater Scrying 3/day
13-14 HD: Wall of fire 1/day, Power Word Stun 3/day
15-16 HD: Trap the Soul 1/day
17-18 HD: Summon (any 1 devil of CR equal or less than character's HD, 100%) 1/day
19-20 HD: Destruction 1/day
The caster level of these abilities should equal the creature's HD (or the CL of the base creature's spell-like abilities, whichever is higher)
The abilties should be commulative - so a character who goes from 2 HD to 3 HD does not lose the ability to cast darkness, but rather also gains the ability to cast invisbility and desecrate, and so on.
If someone can help me with this, It'd be much appreciated. I have no idea of how long this would take, or how hard it would be - my understanding of the editor is, unfortunately, minimal.
