tying in with Hero Lab

instead of the portfolios (or in addition to) we can store the PDF's, that HL could generate I'd assume? This way if not every one of my PCs has HL, they could still see their data?

PDFs, statblocks, whatever you want is fair game. You could include all of them if you want, allowing players to use whichever they prefer.

Is there any possibility of having an "Auto-save" feature in Hero Labs in the future? So cloud syncing of profiles is a little more dynamic?

Integration with HL will definitely be evolving over time. Something along the lines of what you're describing should be doable at some point.

as you evolve it, id like to see dual ownership. I think at one point you mentioned that portfolios can only be owned by player or DM, but it has to be one or the other. Id like to be able to edit players portfolios. But I want them to be able to edit it too. This would help siginficantly in campaign tracking.

I don't know about you other DM's, but when my players create new characters / level their existing chracters, etc they send me a copy of their .por file (for those who own HL) or send me the details so I can create and print off a .pdf for them in my own copy of HL (which also ensures they haven't missed something, added too many skills, etc).

I too am looking forward to RW (I currently use an Access Database to keep this data together coupled with HL and d20Pro for maps / combat).

To have everything in one place will be awesome, but I can't see where you are so worried about the .por being read only to one peep and Read/Write to one other ...

Have your players email you the .por (and any updates to that .por) and then push it up to the cloud, you have R/W access and the player has read ... simple :)

I'm sure as Rob has said that LWD will add functionality between RW and HL as it grows and more peeps find things which would be "nice to haves ...", as for me, after juggling tons of data on multiple applications, just having one less will be awesome :0
