Two questions for a new user

I have two quick questions that I couldn't find in the FAQ or by searching the forums (maybe my wording isn't quite good enough).

I'm a new user and still trying to figure out the intricacies of the program. When I first purchased HL and my PFRPG license, I imported some custom files for an AP I was thinking about running and now every time I boot up HL I get a bunch of bootstrap errors, how do I correct this?

Second question: Is there a way to remove a feature from a current portfolio without completely recreating the character? All of my characters have Hero Points, and I didn't realize it until I had already created all of my characters. I have no idea how to get rid of them.

As your questions are all Pathfinder related you should post your future questions to that forum. Hero Lab has two parts. Hero Lab is the "Software" that run in Windows/Mac. Then the Game System (ie Pathfinder) and they are very distinct parts of a whole. 99% of the time the issue/question/error is in the game part not HL software.

When you get an error in HL you can "right" click and select copy. Then past in your post as it helps everyone figure out the error. Also please let us know what community addons did you install? If these are ones I support you should be able to go to "Tools->Manage Third Party Updates" to get their names.

Most stuff like this is controlled through the "Configure Your Hero" window. Those settings are unique to each .por file. So open your .por file up and click "CTRL-K" to open the "Configure Your Hero" window and on the "RIGHT" side of the window scroll down to "Advanced Players Guide" and uncheck "Hero Points". DO NOT use the check box on the "LEFT" Side of the window. That tells HL you are an Anti-Hero and will give you a bonus Feat.

Ah, yes I didn't realize that when I made the post. My apologies.

The error I get is:

The data files could not be loaded due to errors. Hero Lab will now attempt to load them in recovery mode. Once loaded, you can access the editor as normal to correct any errors.

The following errors occurred:

Thing 'rUmStSpoCt' - Bootstrap thing 'raTarRegen' does not exist
Thing 'rWrthLop' - Bootstrap thing 'raWraSunlP' does not exist
Thing 'rWrthLop' - Bootstrap thing 'raWraLifes' does not exist
Thing 'rWrthLop' - Bootstrap thing 'raWraUnnaA' does not exist

The 3rd party update was Carrion Crown (V1.0, 7 files).
