After i used the updates feature to upgrade to 3.1 I am unable to reconnect to the updater mechanisim to download new updates.
 
What is the error message you are getting? We need DETAILED information in order to be able to diagnose any problem and provide useful assistance. Please outline the EXACT steps you are taking, the results you are expecting, and the actual behaviors you are experiencing. Include the COMPLETE text (or a screen shot) of any error messages. Once we have the details, we'll do our best to figure out what's wrong and offer suggestions to get things running smoothly.

The Updates mechanism works the same in V3.1 as in V3.0, and AB uses standard Windows components for accessing the internet. It's quite possible that you have some sort of security program installed that is blocking AB's internet access. If so, you'll need to re-configure it to allow AB to get through.
