Hello guys...

This is a mordheim henchmen case.
If a henchman rolls an advance he already has he is allowed to
advance any other stat, but it seems to be impossible to advance the
toughness stat.
This does not occur to often... but he... now it showed op the second
time...
So any toughts?

Archeonicus.

Yep,

A henchman isn't allowed to advance any other stat, see page 121 "If the
dice roll indicates an increase in a characteristic which has already
been increases, roll again." AFAIK there isn't any henchmen that can get
into the possition(sp) that he has maxed all his characteristics, since
they get 4 advances and have 5 characteristics in the henchmen table.

Well Peter i know that, but do you also see the piece (it is on the
same page IIRC:
>>characteristic increase
Characteristics for certain warriors may not increased beyond
the maximum limits shown on the following profiles. If a
characteristic is at its maximum, take the other option or roll
again if you can only increase, one characteristic. If both are
already at their maximum, you may increase any other by +1
instead. Note that this is the only way to gain the maximum
Movement for some races. Remember that Henchmen can
only add +1 to any characteristic.<<

Which makes it pretty clear.

If you roll thrice the WS/BS advance then you may choose and why not
choose Toughnes then?

You aren't going to win this argument! It's been
addressed here many times in the past. I'd ask the
specialist games group at GW to clarify it, if you
really feel they should be able to do it this way. If
they agree with you and then publish it, it will get
changed. Otherwise you are out of luck.

Yes, or you could go into ABCreate and change it for your gaming group, though you'll have to do this every time you get an update the mordheim file.

Well Joe, apart from already winning... :-)
No really the rule clearly states as it is, furthermore no FAQs or
such declare anything different.
My only question is why it was not possible and Jon answered that for
me. Though i never worked on datafiles before, I think I'll manage,
one way or the other...

Anybody suggestions in the how to directions?
