Is there a way to hide something in a drop down Box - like say the race window but still have it work if it's bootstrapped to another race etc.
 
I'm sorry, I don't quite understand the question.

Do you mean, have something not appear for selection in a drop down? Or do you mean pick something in a dropdown and then have it not appear somewhere, like the Specials tab for example? More info would be helpful, like the text of the ability you want to add or something.
 
I have something in the race drop down box that is bootstrapped to something else and I would like to hide it so it can't be chosen but for it to still work for the bootstrap part of it. they are Regions built as races. I'm sure there is an easier way to do this but I have it all working and I was just wondering if there was a way to hide from view without stopping its function is all.
 
Try adding the Helper.Helper tag to the region "races", that usually stops things from being selected.
