Timing Report?

Okay, I'm trying to use the "View Timing Report" function to figure out a problem I'm having with a Conditional Bootstrap in that racial ability I talk about in the other thread, and all I'm getting is a blank IE page. Is it not working for Savage Worlds for some reason?

Dunno. Works fine for me. Have you tried it with a different browser?

Apparently it'll work from the regular interface in the program, but not from inside the editor for some reason. Now I just have to find time to look through the report and see what I'm doing wrong and figure out what timing to set to fix it...

Hmmm. If I'm reading this correct, there's a bunch of timing errors, some in things I've never touched. I must be reading this wrong.

I've never opened it from the editor, especially since it's the main program where things are getting compiled and where you'd need to try and figure out what's what. The timing report lists lots of stuff, not necessarily errors at all. I will say, however, that working out timing issues can be a real pain. You might checking to see if the Wiki helps. Here are a couple of articles that might be of some use: http://hlkitwiki.wolflair.com/index.php5?title=Script_Timing_Issues and http://hlkitwiki.wolflair.com/index.php5?title=Establishing_Timing_Dependencies.

As you can see from my other post, I figured it out, but I can't say the timing report was much help; I ended up just having to look at process and use logic (and some trial and error).

Yeah, that's what I've pretty much had to do when I've had timing issues as well (and in some cases I just couldn't do what I wanted to do because it's impossible to do certain things at the timing you need to have it done.)

Well, the timing report talks about EVERYTHING that goes on behind the scenes. As you can see, it's a very busy program. Timing can be tricky, but it's one of the hubs this whole thing revolves on. I probably don't use that report as much as I should, I still have to read through it carefully when I use it.
