M&M 3rd ed. "Templates" such as Alternate Forms or HQs

It's be really super if templates, such as pre-built alternate forms or HQs were exactly that - a set of defaults. However, it'd be incredible if you could not only alter them but even delete from the default. I think of it like this, I've got a character that's a corpse, so he's got a bunch of immunities in both corpse and shadow form. When he switches to Shadow Form I need everything in that Alternate Form except the Immunity but there is no way to delete it.

Could you consider changing this?
