I have a player that wants to play a synthesist. I have read far too many OP posts to just allow this into my game without checking it, so I am making a number of characters to test the power level.
When I am building this in hero lab, I keep running into issues when I have the synthesist with the bonus to hit in relation to natural attacks.
When I have the "suit" on, with no spells activated, it calculates the hit bonus correctly, but once I get spells involved an issue arises:
Bull's Strength works fine. Unarmed and natural weapons increase accordingly
Haste only increases unarmed
Heroism only increases unarmed
I am aware that you cannot use natural and unarmed together, but I am comparing the two to show an inconsistency. In each case, the unarmed strike is calculated correctly, but I am at a loss to find out why the natural attacks are only effected in some situations.
This happens with feats like power attack as well. The damage for all attack options increases, but only the unarmed takes the negative to hit penalty.
Any ideas on what I am doing wrong? I have attached the file. The errors are occurring on the second portfolio, although it might have the same problem on the first, but I have not tested it.
Chances are it is something I am doing, but if not, I would love to know how to adjust it according. Thanks!
