syntax error

Hi guys,

I started HeroLab again after probably a month or two of not using it and most of my previous Portfolios seem to be broken. While loading the System files I got an error relating to my costum files so I deleted those and set the game back to the base System Settings (download again and overwrite).

Now I still get this error message while loading:

The data files could not be loaded due to errors. Hero Lab will now attempt to load them in recovery mode. Once loaded, you can access the editor as normal to correct any errors.

The following errors occurred:

Syntax error in 'eval' script for Thing 'cIncImprMM' (Eval Script '#1') on line 14
-> Tag 'HasFeat.fArcaneThe' not defined

Not sure what to do there, could anyone help?

Do you have any other custom user fiiles of your own? That tag would be created by a feat with the thingid "fArcaneThe". Not sure if that's a community feat or something you made. cIncImprMM looks like a class special.

This seems to be related to the incantatrix prestige class from Players Guide to Faerun. "cIncImprMM" is the Incantatrix capstone ability, Improved Metamagic.

I had coded that class a few years back, except for that capstone. Another board member (Capn Coots I think, but not sure off the top of my head) finished it at the same time he was doing Arcane Thesis (fArcaneThe, probably), and posted the final results, both in the same user file. The present problem probably stems from that user file. Look for one with "incantatrix" in its name.

It's a good thing to know this file may not be playing nice, as it is supposed to be included in the next update!

I can assure you it will be fine with the next release. It's possible that he grabbed a file from the thread that had it, and included it with the previous release. I don't know if it would work with that one, but based on this report I assume not. The new release will be available soon, so hang tight. If you can delete a file with the Incantatrix stuff in it, that might work for you for now.

Hm. I erased all file and loaded from the Server again.

Still get a lot of Errors when I load my old party. Not sure if those are all my own files, some codes seem familiar, some not.
Oh well, guess I have to redo my party...

I guess I found the bug source.

A file named 'FR - Magic of Faerun.user' seems not to work anymore.

Got it from Sendric.

Here is the updated Magic of Faerun file that includes Mystic Wanderer. I also added the Attune Gem feat and the Profession: Herbalism skill.

Is there a replacement in case I still need mystic wanderer?

There will be a new release today or tomorrow. It will include this file, and I can assure you it will work. If you continue to have issues after that, hopefully we can work together to straighten them out.

It's there. Make sure you select "Magic of Faerun 3.0" in your character configuration window.
