I am not a Windows expert, but hopefully I can get the conversation started.
1) What version of Windows are you running?
2) Do you know if there is a firewall installed on your system?
a) If so, what company makes it?
b) If you are not sure, are you running anything called an "Internet
Security Suite" such as those made by McAfee, Norton, Kaspersky?
3) Are you doing this inside a company?
a) If so, there may be a firewall you are not aware of that is blocking AB.
b) If not, then do you know if you are using a cable/dsl router or is the
machine hooked up directly to the Internet?
That should get the ball rolling.
