Support OpenType Fonts (OTF) files

It would be awesome if we could install OpenType Fonts (OTF) into Realm Works, as the game system I use has one available for specific icons and symbols that would make GM notes so much easier and more readable.

As far as I know RW simply utilizes the fonts provided by the OS.

So if the font worls there, it should work in RW.

I wish this were the case. For me at least, there are number of OTF and TTF fonts I have in my OS that do not appear in Realm Works.

Because it syncs from the cloud and back to (potentially) multiple PCs & laptops it would make sense to only use internal fonts it has reliable access to.

In other words, I might use a font on my PC that doesn't exist on my laptop and when I sync it, that could break things.

Anyway, I hope I'm wrong and you're right and someone can tell me how to get all of my OS fonts to show up in Realm Works.

Well, I just tested and I wrote a complete gibberish sentence in a snippet using my Moon Phases font - which I know I did install myself into the Win OS.

So as far as I can tell, it does work. Unless we are talking about two different things...

Well all I can say is....THANK YOU! :)

I got it to work by simply rebooting my system. I installed the font into Windows 10 this morning and it wasn't showing up for me in Realm Works (but it was showing up in MS Office). Anyway, after the reboot it now shows up in Realm Works.

Glad you figured it out.

For future reference: Realm Works, as a Windows Forms application, supports TrueType fonts and OpenType fonts with TrueType outlines. It does not support OpenType fonts with PostScript outlines.
