Suggestion to open up a M&M 3E forum?

Now, I don't know if this would be more trouble than it's worth, but I thought I'd pitch this out here and see if anyone else agrees/disagrees. Would it be possible/desirable for a second Mutants and Masterminds forum to be opened, focusing on 3E questions and comments? Personally, i would find it useful, or a 'Tag' on 3E questions so I can quickly figure out what people are asking about which system they're asking about.

I don't recall anyone asking, so I thought I'd throw it out there.

Given that 3e is a separate game system, it really should have its own forum.
Till then I guess we should be good about indicating 2e or 3e in the topic subject.

I dont really see 3 E getting an entire forum.... though i can certainly see it having its own section/thread.

To Shodowchaser.... is this the same shadowchaser that on the atomic think tank and the vigilence podcast?? if so hi and i enjoyed the DCA actual play podcast hope there are more.

I'm all for splitting it. They are two different game systems. ^_^ And that means I can get my 2E goodness without having to deal with this DCA interloper.

Yes, this is I. :)

I'm glad you liked the podcast! Feel free to comment on the thread I put up at the ATT for that purpose: http://www.atomicthinktank.com/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=38034

I'm looking for as much feedback as we can get. :) If we get enough people asking, I'm sure we can do another one!

Anyway, the only reason I ask for a seperate 3E forum is to make commenting on the different rulesets and asking questions about them easier and more organized. Not to indicate any preferences of one over the other.

I think we're getting to the point where a separate M&M 3e forum would be a good idea. I've noticed a couple of occasions where people got confused as to which we were talking about.

allow me to clear up my stance on splitting the forum by edition....I THINK ITS A GREAT IDEA, for all the reasons mentioned here..... I JUST DONT SEE LWD doing it. since its just as simple to give 3ED its own section on the current boards.

Thanks shadow, I shall comment on ATT (I joined over there sometime ago but dont seem to visit often....for some reason the ATT Feels colder to me lol not sure why, perhaps its my poor typing skills that alienates people over there...or maybe i just love HL so darn much i tend to hang here more... i dunno, anyway shadow....nice to 'meet" you lol:p

I understand the goal of adding a new separate forum for M&M3, but I think it would cause more confusion than it would solve - I think a lot of issues are common between the game systems, and I don't want to have to move threads back and forth if someone posts them in the wrong forum. (We already have enough of a problem with people posting game-specific questions in the general Hero Lab forum.)

However, I have set up "thread prefixes" for this forum only - when you start a new thread, the forum should now require that you specify MM2 or MM3. That way all threads will either be tagged one or the other, and you can ignore threads about the game you're not interested in. :)

Excellent solution, Colen! Thank you sir! I think this will help everyone minimize the confusion that was starting to pop up here and there. :)
