Statblock format

Good day.

I have attempted to add a statblock from a html file, but I keep getting a "Error occurred when trying to load the file".

What is the exact format it should be in, data wise?

For now I have resolved this by adding a Documents and media > HTML page snippet with a "statistics" description, but would be nice to use the actual statblock snippet.

That's very odd. It should be working fine, and quick tests on our end just now all worked.

Please file a bug report on this, as there must be something special about the HTML file you're using (or something else) that's causing the problem. Once you file a bug report, the dev team can contact you to get more details as needed.

You'll find a sticky thread at the top of the forum with details on filing a bug report.

Thanks for the tip Rob, I figured it out.

We have our stats in xmls, and we use xslt to generate heavily styled statblock sheets, more like full on character sheets (and quite big, about half a MB).

When I copied that data into a txt or used a more basic xslt, I got a message "Converting to rich text" and then it worked. So the issue is more in my misunderstanding on how it was supposed to work, not on your side.

I prefer the look of our sheets, so I will be using HTML page snippet since it preserves it.

Thank you for the assistance (and great product)!
