Starting karma & ¥

I'm not sure if this is a bug, or if I am just not familiar with SR5. Before I have locked my character for "advancement", the program displays the following under the journal tab (no entry yet):

Total ¥: -220 (even though I have the min. starting ¥ for low lifestyle)
Total Karma: 3 (even though I have spent all my starting est. runner karma)
:confused:

Did I miss something in the rules? Has the program gone wonky?

Any and all assistance is greatly appreciated!
 
One of the stickied threads is named "Shadowrun Bug Reports". Could you please report this as a bug there? When it sends you the automated "we received your report" message, reply to that, and attach the saved character to your reply email. That way, I can take a look at the character and figure out what's going on.
