Thanks to Rob and Colen both for the help. I'm off to a smashing start.

I am creating the file for an Imperial Wizard warband. It looks pretty
easy to get going.

One question now though...where should I enter additional spells (under
which tab?) I've looked at options and that seems to be the best place.

Thanks...
CyBoarg

Items. Take a look at the spells currently in the "Magic Spells"
category and you'll get the idea.

Okay...so, I put each spell in the list, correct? Then how does that
get linked to the user(s)?

Give all the magic users in the force the local attributes:

catg:+spel
type:raceXMagic

Where 'raceX' should be something that identifies your race, e.g. WdElf,
Skavn, Skril, or whatever. Then give the spell the attribute:

ityp:+raceXMagic

I've done this and I'm getting an invalid entry in the attribute for
the spell.

For the War Wizard, I have set the Local Attrib to type:WarMagic
For the Lightning Strike, I set the itype:+WarMagic

Also, an apptentice may use WarMagic upon receiving the Arcane
Knowledge skill. Until that skill is taken, I don't want the WarMagic
spells to be available. How is that done?

Thanks for all the help so far...it been very helpful and appreciated.

You need to modify the Arcane Knowledge skill to assign the type WarMagic
to the unit. I assume that the Arcane Knowledge skill already exists. You
need to add the attribute "type:WarMagic" to the Arcane Knowledge record.
This should allow the apprectice access when he is given the skill.

It's possible that the Arcane Knowledge skill is already defined in a
separate data file. In this case, you'll want to "augment" the existing
Arcane Knowledge record. I'm not too familiar with the Mordheim files -
Colen?? - so I'm not sure if it's implemented as an option or an item. In
either case, you can augment the record that exists in a different file. Go
to the Augment tab within ABCreator and create a new record. Select the
proper type (item or option), enter the unique id of the record you want to
augment, and then add the attribute above.

This should get you off and running properly.....

Thanks, Rob

Yup, it's defined in the main file (options.mor).

Item.

Indeed, this should work fine.
