So I am trying to add variant levels which include a new special ability. I have created and saved the ability but when I go to add it to the class level it doesn't show up on the list of abilities.
 
Hmm, finishing & saving the special ability, then testing it, is supposed to add it to the program for use, or for things like a variant class to find. If that doesn't work, a faster method than a restart to make sure it's loaded is to close the editor window, press Ctrl-r to perform a quick reload, then open the editor window again.
