I am having problem with topics/snippets not showing up with players. Also my buy is saying that the realm is out of date when i have just synced the realm? I have clicked the bubbles green and the top bubble green.

Could you give us a step-by-step on exactly what you and your players are doing when trying to get your realm to match?

Not sure about the realm out of date thing, but if you could confirm the version number of RW that you've got, that might help.

To give you an idea why I'm asking those specific questions, the process should go like this:

GM:

1) Update RW to latest version. (Tools menu from the load window, Check for Updates, if there is one, download and update)
2) load Realm.
3) Reveal snippets and topic.
4) Exit Realm
5) Sync realm.
6) Wait a few seconds for the realm to say up-to-date.

Player
1) Update to latest version of RW.
2) Check that Realm requires Sync.
3) Sync Realm.
4) Load Realm.
5) Find revealed topic.

If you and your player follow all of those steps in exactly that order, and the player still can't see the revealed topic and snippets, please submit a bug report.

1) Realm Works is up to date on both computers.
2) I reveil snippets clicking on the bubbles on the side and at top of page.
3) I go back to realms and sync realm and wait until complete.

1) My buddy logs on and syncs to the realms, which it says it is complete.
2) He clicks on to enter realms and it says the realms is out of date and needs to sync. He has tried syncing it and it keeps saying the saying the say thing.
3) He tries to enter it without syncing ans still doesn't see anything.

Okay, in a hidden folder (I can't remember exactly where, but it's in AppData, which is hidden by default) is a file called Master.Realm

Get your player to delete it.

Then get your player to sync again.

If that doesn't fix it, it'll probably require direct intervention from Lone Wolf.

What's up with that, Parody? A 1 meg EXE file that reportedly just opens a directory?

Sorry, no offense, I'm not going near that.

It opens a few things related to Realm Works. The main thing it does (and one reason it's that large) is it can zip up the master.realm file for you if you need to upload it to tech support.

It was a fun little C# exercise. :)

I was playing with it back when we were seeing more posts about issues where people ended up needing to submit their master.realm file. It's a lot easier to do that by pushing a button. I wanted to have it handle getting the file to LWD as well, but that's an even bigger can of worms than picking a third-party ZIP library.

I probably do have too much time on my hands and I know I have way too many personal projects. :/
