Shadowrun Functionality in Pathfinder

Hi Guys,

Awesome job with the tool so far, but do you have any plans on bringing some of the Shadowrun functionality to Pathfinder?

Things that would be useful in Hero Lab for other systems

- Ability to name all items
- Ability to add notes to all items

I can think of many places this would have made things easier.

I still want to build a character sheet that can determine where items are stored and even sort by them as well so I can have "on Horse", "at hideout" or "in bag of holding" when location becomes an issue in game... Has anything been done for items to know where they are stored in the XML output used for generating character sheets?

The upcoming version of my sheet has the ability to sort gear into containers on-the-fly (drag and drop within a container, or from one container to another). It doesn't have the ability for you to specify a new location (like "at hideout") on the fly, but that could be added.

The information doesn't exist in the XML output (yet?), so I don't have access to whatever you specified in Hero Lab; you have to do it after the sheet is generated.

If you create (buy/generate/etc) a custom container in HL and label it "Hideout," would your sheet then put that container in the equipment list and allow it to be used just like backpacks, bags, etc.?

And will it allow gear to be moved to a horse (or other animal/animal companion/etc)?

Short answer: I'm afraid not, although both of those things are doable.

Long answer: HL doesn't note in the XML that a piece of gear is a container, so your "Hideout" would just be a randomly-named item (not a container) to the sheet. I've had to make the sheet aware of all the standard containers by name (both magical and mundane). However, I could add a feature to allow you designate any given piece of gear as a container, and then you could do this.
