Hi,

Can someone more tech savvy than me walk me through getting a portfolio from my ipad to Hero Lab on my desktop? I am emailing it to myself from my ipad then trying to open it in hero lab but it seems it is not in a format that HL likes when it get to my desktop. Thanks.

iPad has an existing bug that is removing the .por extension from the file when it gets emailed from the iPad. At least on Windows all you have to do is rename the file to .por at the end and HL opens it right up then.

Otherwise I assume on a Mac you can open HL first and then select the file by changing the window to display "all" files not just .por/.stock files.

But I am not Mac person so I can't give you details.... sorry... :(

The same way should work on the Mac - you can use either method that ShadowChemosh suggests. This bug will be fixed in the next release of Hero Lab for the iPad, which I'm hoping to submit to the app store this week. Sorry for the inconvenience!
