Runtime error when adding spells to spellbook for Magus

The program crashes every time I add a spell to a magus spellbook no matter which spell I attempt to add to the character's spellbook. I tested every other class with a spellbook, and only the magus gives me this error. I created a new portfolio with a 1st level magus, and still got the error. Error info is below

I got the same error when trying to add a 3rd level spell to my 3rd level Arcanist (who paid to scribe the spell, even though he can't cast it yet...but still should work). I've sent an e-mail to support.

I found I get the same error when simply trying to add 2nd level spells after he levels up to 4th level.

I tried to get around this in multiple ways and nothing works. Hopefully, this is a quick fix.

I've been able to reproduce the bug when adding spells to the spellbook, and I believe it could also happen when adding something to any other multi-column table - is anyone getting the crash under other circumstances? If so, please let me know. For the moment, you should be able to avoid the bug by not adding new spells to your spellbook.

We're working on a fix for this and hope to have it out later today. Thanks for your patience!

Great work tracking this one down Colen! I haven't had any problem with other lists, but truthfully, I've only been working in Skill Lists and Spellbooks today.

I was running into the same problem too......thought it was my pc acting up......

thanks for the quick fix :)

I was getting an error adding spells to the spellbook for a multiclass cleric 5 wizard 1. I haven't had the time to test the new download yet to see if it works. When I get time, I'll come back and test it and provide my results here.

Thanks!

Hilarious I had this issue on the weekend and thought it was my install with so many community and personal user files, but I was bagged last night and figured I'd look into it tonight....But Master Colen is on top of things!

Rockin!! Will see tonight.

Sniff sniff... sure blame the community stuff... :( ;)

Because of the community stuff I have found a issues and reported it long before it became a problem for others. So really the community stuff provides a great test base. :)

you forgot "and user files". I figured it was something I did, since i have several user files, each for the campaign worlds I have been designing, it just conflicted with a community file.

I have had nothing but praise for the community files, and your never ending supoprt of them and the community here on the forums, I know form my perspective I woudl still be stuck if not for you helpful advice when I have had some questions.

Here's my promised report back...

I was just able to create a rather large spellbook for a high level Wizard/Loremaster, and didn't get a single error.

Thanks for the quick fix!

Thanks but I was just messing with yea Exmortis. I didn't really take any offense to what you said. I should have added some "smart-ass" tags around what I said. ;)
