FAQ said:Spell-Like Abilities, Casting, and Prerequisites: Does a creature with a spell-like ability count as being able to cast that spell for the purpose of prerequisites or requirements?
Yes.
For example, the Dimensional Agility feat (Ultimate Combat) has "ability to use the abundant step class feature or cast dimension door" as a prerequisite; a barghest has dimension door as a spell-like ability, so the barghest meets the "able to cast dimension door prerequisite for that feat.
Or install the Pathfinder Basic Pack and after installing add "Spell-Like Abilities Prerequisites" adjustment (Located on the "Adjust" tab under "Other Adjustments") to make yourself valid. Then you can use the new "Feat: Values" adjustment to adjust the "Value" of the Arcane Strike feat to correctly have the right "damage" bonus. Otherwise it will consider it always +1.Until then, you can add the Arcane Strike feat and simply ignore the validation error it reports.
While I do add the feat and ignore the validation error, the feat does not scale damage correctly on characters qualifying via SLA's. I have to remember to add extra damage to each attack once they hit 5th level.Hi Arthantos,
While we've addressed dozens of Pathfinder issues over the last few months (you can find the full list in the Pathfinder FAQ under the Help menu within Hero Lab), this one has unfortunately not yet been tackled.
Now that the year's big releases have passed, we're hoping to get some time to go through our bug list and do a "bug bash" to resolve some of these longer-standing issues. Until then, you can add the Arcane Strike feat and simply ignore the validation error it reports.
Thanks for your patience!
