Rise of the Runelords Monster Hunter Trait problem.

I am using Hero Labs Classic to create and check Pathfinder 1e characters for my campaign.

One of my players has selected the Monster Hunter trait for. RotR but the system is showing that he does not have a background that offers him access to the trait.

I cannot find a solution to this in the system other than by unrestricting traits which I don’t want to do.

Does anyone know what I have to add to the character or the configuration to clear this error?

Thanks.

Restricting traits is an option from Ultimate Campaign. It only works with the traits mentioned in that book. Turning that on means only the traits mentioned in the background generator section will work. and only the ones that are specifically enabled by a certain background choice will not show an error.

As far as I know, that limits players to the 20 or so traits unlocked by the background generator out of the hundreds in the game. And no AP's Campaign Traits are included in those . While the implementation in Hero Lab is an accurate copy of what is in the book, the book was not written with electronic tools in mind. People at a physical table with paper and pencil can easily say "yes" or "no" to allowing a certain trait with some ad hoc background detail that the software cannot handle.

What are you trying to accomplish by limiting the traits in this way?
