Replace Thing ID causing a crash in HLC?

I was trying to make a custom Orc race that has the half-orc's favoured class bonus for bloodrager, but wanted it to replace the original orc so that race-specific items and spells would apply, but after selecting the replaced Orc, the game crashed and will crash whenever I load a character with that race selected. Not sure if I did something wrong, if it's a bug, or if it's something else
 
What do you mean by "crashed"? If HL finds an error with anything, it gives you an error message and loads the basic HL to give you a chance to fix the problem.
What error message do you get? The error is likely in the code of your custom orc, or the way you replaced the original orc. The better way of doing this is creating an alternate orc race, that counts as the standard orc.
