Removing racial skill points

Are there adjustments to get rid of racial skill ranks? I can use a skill penalty to remove the overall bonus to the skill, but the ranks remain. This shows up in the skill tab, making it red, as something like 156 of 67 (xxx overspent).

What is trying to be done is a character using magic jar to take over another body, you keep only your skills, so its giving me issues.

If you set the character to be an NPC and go to the background tab, there should be an icon to the right of the selected race that looks like a hammer and wrench. Click on that and there will be an option to remove the creature's default skills, feats, etc.

Thanks. Was hoping to not go that route, but gonna have to use adjustments either way I go.

Why whats the issue? Once your done making adjustments you can turn the character back into a PC if you wish.
