Remember me?

Warmonger

Well-known member
I can't get the remember me check box to remember me! Is anyone else having this issue? I use complicated, nonsensical passwords and can't yet remember this one, so I have to keep looking it up so that I can log in.

I have all cookies and scripting enabled, but no luck. (Firefox 1.04)

mine stays logged in for a few days then drops it so I have to log in again, no other sites that use 'remember me' do this so I wasnt sure what the stay alive on the cookie is for here ... maybe premature ageing???

I'm using Firefox 1.04 too and I'm usually remembered... although I had to logon again this morning... <shrug>

According to the configuration stuff I set, you should stay logged in for 3
days, after which the cookie will expire and you'll need to log in again.
I'll check this out in a bit, since you shouldn't be getting logged out
after only a day...

The boards made a liar out of me. After I logged in to post that message, I haven't had to log in again. But it should be coming up soon I guess.

I am also experiencing this problem. I would prefer that the expiration for the cookie be longer than three days. The message traffic on this site is not yet so great that I need to read it more than a couple times a week.

OK, I've changed the 'remember me' time to 7 days.

Does the remember me timeout not reset when you visit the site? The time until asking for a password has been extended, but still having to enter the password every week is a bit annoying. Almost every other forum site I visit resets the "timer" for requiring a password every time you visit, so if you visit every few days or even weekly you never have to re-login.

I'll look into getting this changed.
