What changes are necessary to update Realmworks to Urban fantasy setting as opposed to the medieval that it comes with out of the box? Is it possible to create a template file so you can make these the default?
 
Edit the defaults to whatever suits your needs. Setting up a new realm for me takes about an hour to add fields, add tags and turn off defaults that aren't needed.

A template file or master realm is not possible at this time. This functionality is waiting on the release of the Marketplace.
 
I use RW for nWOD and it works well. Some of the pictures are not appropriate (a feature that has been requested), but with some slight modification it works. Depending on the level detail you want and severity of your OCD you could either duplicate the provided categories and change them to suit you or just turn off the visibility of the snippets that don't fit the setting and roll with it.
